Cleveland Dragons is a dragon boat club based in Cleveland, OH, established in 2016. We are a community based, volunteer-driven team, fueled by passion for paddling and service. We are affiliated with the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association, a nonprofit organization formed in 2008 to introduce dragon boat paddling to Cleveland and the surrounding region.
We practice in the heart of the City of Cleveland on the famous Cuyahoga River May to October, showcasing the sport of dragon boating. We aim to represent Cleveland proudly on and off the boat wherever, we may go.
Through our team spirit and commitment throughout the years, we’ve won medals at dragon boat festivals throughout the region.
Code of Ethics
We support the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association.
Without the CDBA, there could be no Cleveland Dragons. We will always participate actively in the success of the CDBA as their success enables our success. The Cleveland Dragons will support the financial goals, the causes and the work projects of the CDBA enthusiastically.
We represent Cleveland proudly in the general dragon boat community.
We will travel to regattas outside of Cleveland and will work to network with other teams and professional associations. We will work hard to host a high quality tournament in Cleveland and invite other teams to participate.
All Cleveland Dragons are equal when we step into the boat.
We will come with different levels of ability, experience and different roles on the team. Regardless of our gender, age, size, hairline, ethnicity, we will all be given opportunity to paddle, to play and to win as a team.
